BEN FREELAND

Sports has been a passion of mine ever since I was a kid. As a kid I played baseball, basketball, and golf; but it was basketball that stole the show. It was through basketball I was able to do things that a lot of people dream of doing. It took me places far and wide from all across the United States and even abroad to Europe.

Not only did sports allow me to travel the world and take on many new experiences, but the life lessons one can learn from sports are endless. The mission at the National Academy of Athletics is one that is close to my heart. Being a part of this team and passing the lessons I learned through sports down to the next generation makes it not feel like work at all. There is no place I would rather be than passing my love for sports and experiences on to the kids of our community.
