Meet Your San Diego North Area Captains
Christiana Lawrence
Hi, I’m Christiana — a proud San Diego native and the new franchise owner of NAofA San Diego. With a master’s degree in Intercultural Studies and a professional background in refugee resettlement, I’ve spent my career focused on building bridges between cultures, creating access to resources, and fostering environments where all children and families feel welcome.
My work has taken me into diverse communities where I’ve seen firsthand the power of inclusion, resilience, and human connection, and those values are precisely what I aim to bring into every youth sports program we run. I believe play is a universal language, and through the structure of high-quality, purpose-driven athletics, kids can gain confidence, develop life skills, and feel a true sense of belonging.
As a lifelong dog lover, outdoor enthusiast, and sports fan, I’m thrilled to partner with the National Academy of Athletics to serve families throughout San Diego. I’m especially excited to work alongside schools, parks, and community centers to make sure every child — regardless of background or ability — has a chance to grow through movement, teamwork, and play.
I’m honored to be part of a mission that’s bigger than sports — one that helps kids thrive both on and off the field.
