MEET YOUR AREA CAPTAIN

Ben Freeland — Marin County & Petaluma Area Captain

Quincy D. McKinney, Jr. is a dedicated educator, coach, and youth development leader with more than a decade of experience working across youth, high school, and collegiate athletics. He currently serves as a Physical Education teacher at Corinth Holders High School, where he is passionate about helping students build lifelong fitness habits, confidence, and strong character through movement and sport.

Quincy holds a Master’s degree in Sport Management and is currently pursuing licensure in Physical Education. He is CPR/AED certified and brings extensive experience in football, track and field, and youth sports development. Throughout his career, he has focused on teaching discipline, teamwork, and leadership while creating positive environments where young athletes can grow both on and off the field.

In addition to coaching and teaching, Quincy has experience in athlete evaluation and recruiting and has contributed his leadership to organizations including USA Football and TMSA Public Charter Schools. He is skilled in several sports technology and operational platforms, including Hudl, DVSport, Front Rush, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office.

Outside of his professional work, Quincy is a devoted husband of nine years and a proud father of two daughters. His family is the foundation of his purpose and drive, inspiring him to lead with integrity, compassion, and consistency. Through mentorship and community involvement, Quincy remains committed to helping young people develop confidence, resilience, and a love for sport that lasts a lifetime.
