KIDS WILL SUFFER WITHOUT PE!

NAOFA HAS SOLUTIONS!

Kids can’t live and function without physical activity! During this time with the COVID-19 restrictions, there are many challenges that schools are facing. Losing physical education CAN NOT be one of them! As school educators, you are undoubtedly aware of all the benefits of physical exercise.

Exercise helps relieve stress and anxiety and equips children with the necessary tools to lead healthier lifestyles.

Heading into Fall 2020, the approach to physical education, lunch, and recess, in schools will have to be modified. National Academy of Athletics has the answer, please let us help!

Allow us to bring our Physical Education Specialist, to your classroom, playground, or home’s (live-streamed or pre-recorded) of your kids!

Bring the NAofA to Your School

National Academy of Athletics is on a mission to bring youth sports to kids throughout the nation. We use sports to promote positive mental and physical development in our youth.  Our goal is to diminish childhood obesity by advocating for healthy lifestyles while providing tools to boost confidence.

PE During COVID-19

Our physical education supplementation program: Fitness Through FUNdamentals combines Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) with our outstanding curriculum derived from National Standards and Grade-Level Outcomes. We focus on four main points of emphasis that really engage kids in the world of sports and learning new skills and overall physical fundamentals.

Our Fitness Through FUNdamentals Physical Education Program has a large variety of curriculum that ensures all three domains of physical education: psychomotor, cognitive, and affective are incorporated daily. It includes not only physical competence and knowledge but also the confidence, optimism, and growth needed for emotional well bring.

Our PE Specialists are trained to use Zoom and will be using a curriculum designed for a shared screen structure so students can see the activity or workout for the day. The Zoom classes will be recorded to ensure that any student/parent/school teacher or administrator has access to the class at any time.

DISTANT LEARNING

In the event that Distance Learning is the only way for your school to hold classes, the PE classes will be taught LIVE over Zoom and run by a well-trained and enthusiastic PE Specialist.

HYBRID- DISTANT LEARNING & CLASSROOM

If your school begins in the Fall with a hybrid class model, block schedule, or any other type of modified class schedule, we can work with that. It is important for us to be able to create flexibility with your school’s schedule and be there for the kids no matter what.

FLEXIBILITY TO CHANGE AS YOU CHANGE

If your school beings the school year traditional, and then pivots to Distance Learning, the PE Specialist will be able to make that pivot as well to keep consistency among classes. This is to ensure the students have a smooth transition to virtual PE and the classes will transition to a curriculum designed for Distance Learning. All classes will be recorded for later viewing options if Distance Learning promotes time challenges at home.

Schools may be able to keep their same class schedule, and some may adjust their schedule to adapt to distance learning. We will work with distance learning schedule modifications and are committed to your student’s success.

During Distance learning, these same domains will be included in the curriculum so that students can do their PE class at home, outside, in small spaces, and with minimal or no equipment. Our PE specialist’s main goal is to see the students having fun while participating in physical activity.

COMMUNITY PARTNER TESTIMONIALS

Chris Meyer Community Partner

“Working with National Academy of Athletics has been a total collaboration from the start. They have been easy to work with, professional and simply want to provide the best recreational sports experience for children possible. This partnership has helped the City of Rocklin double the recreational sports programs that it can offer to its residents and their families.”

Chris Meyer, Recreation Coordinator, Rocklin Community Center

“I wanted to convey to you what an improvement PE is for my kids. Izzy has been showing me what she is learning at PE and I am VERY impressed that she now knows how to do squats, sit ups, plank, and so much more. Both my kids are really enjoying the activities they are doing as well as the teachers. They really respect Coach Ben and Coach Quest and seem to have a better appreciation for PE in general.  I am a strong believer in physical education – teaching kids the importance of moving their bodies and how to use them. So glad this is being taught to our kids!”

Parent , Glenwood Elementary School, San Rafael

“This is our third year using the National Academy of Athletics Fitness Through Fundamentals. Their administration is very responsive, their instructors are prompt and enthusiastic and our students love the program.”
