National Academy of Athletics adds Retired NFL Player to their Executive Team.

Santa Rosa, California – National Academy of Athletics, in its pursuit of creating the most success youth sports programs in the nation, brings on new Business Development Director and Partner, Michael Stone.

As of May 2016, National Academy of Athletics in pursuing strategic partnerships and growth opportunities. Michael Stone will lead the charge by setting the direction.

NFL athlete turned entrepreneur, Michael Stone is the Founder and Executive Director of the Professional Athlete Franchise Initiative and Founder/CEO of Coliseum Enterprises. Michael holds a BA from University of Memphis and participated in the NFL Education Programs at Stanford, Wharton and Kellogg Business Schools. Michael played 7 seasons in the NFL with the New England Patriots, Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants and the Houston Texans. As an ex-NFL player, Michael knows the value of teamwork, dedication and solid leadership.

“I am ecstatic about being on the team. National Academy of Athletics has a true opportunity to deliver high-quality sports programming to youth all over the nation and beyond. With sports being such a key part in so many peoples lives and so few companies delivering youth sports education at a high level the timing is perfect,” said Michael Stone.

Michael Stone will take the lead the best methods to integrate the professional athlete into the National Academy of Athletics programs in a way that inspires participants, improves the curriculum and enhances the overall brand.

“It is very important to allow children a chance to learn from their sports heroes. Whether its through athlete enhanced lesson plans, professional athlete engagement opportunities or the creation of programming where professional athletes on onsite doing the coaching, it is our goal to take things to the next level,” continues Stone.

He was very reluctant Monday morning to attend camp, but I encouraged him to just have fun and try. After the first day, I asked what his favorite thing was and he replied, "ALL OF IT!" This has been the same feedback everyday. The coaches have definitely made the experience fun. We are very happy that our son has had such a positive attitude and hope he will be willing to try other more organized sports going forward. We will be back for summer sessions.
Also worth mentioning, I was happy to see that there was a good mix of boys and girls at the camp.

mixed sports camp is dodgeball camp.
I have asked A LOT of questions over the last few hours since my kids came home in tears. apparently left with an inexperienced "coach" the kids had divided into big kids vs small kids and then the larger/older kids proceeded to pick on little kids and then when the littles react they and their parents are given "report" by the coach.
after three days of dodgeball and calls to the main office and the regional office it has been affirmed that the mixed sport camp we signed our children up for is almost exclusively a dodgeball camp. I was told "the kids usually like dodgeball so that's what we play"
that's a lot of money for a program that we only utilized for 3 days and then had to pull our kids from unless we wanted them to continue to be dodgeball fodder.
