Changing Lives Through After-School Sports in Zimbabwe
We are beyond honored and deeply grateful to recognize David Mlambo for his unwavering dedication and hard work in bringing the joy of sports to children throughout Zimbabwe.
Thanks to David’s inspiring leadership, his collaboration with the Ministry of Education, and his commitment to youth development, children who may never have had the chance to participate in organized athletics are now engaged in structured, uplifting, and meaningful after school sports in Zimbabwe—built on the NAofA’s talk.teach.PLAY!® system.
Each coach involved in the program received a copy of Aaron Locks’ Coach’s Best Friend book series for Soccer, Basketball, and Volleyball, equipping them with practical tools to lead with confidence and purpose. These resources go beyond skills—they foster life lessons, character development, and a culture of encouragement and play with purpose.
“There is no greater reward than using the power of sports to help kids grow. Knowing that our programs are now helping children across the globe fills my heart. The opportunity to impact lives not just here at home, but around the world, is a dream come true.”
— Aaron Locks, Founder & CEO, National Academy of Athletics
We’re proud to stand beside passionate leaders like David—individuals who are transforming communities through sports, one coach, one game, and one child at a time.
This is the legacy we’re building. This is why we do what we do.
