Letter for a Volunteer Coach:

Think about your child's coach and what they do... A good friend shared this with me - had to share it!
Letter for a Volunteer Coach:

Do your kids PLAY enough?

Do your kids PLAY enough?
I mean really play?

PLAY
Activity engaged in for enjoyment and recreation,

just for the HEALTH of it!

when I was a kid we played every day - we learned to compete, deal with success and failure - have fun - deal with bullies - improvise - adapt - be creative and PLAY -

I truly feel our children are missing out...

so... Do your kids play enough?

Team Building

Often times we take ourselves to serious when coaching kids - we like to start off doing some team building so that the kids can learn more about who their team is and who will be playing with them - check out the video of our staff traning - Visit our facebook page for all of our videos....

HELP YOUR COACH HELP YOUR CHILD

HELP YOUR COACH HELP YOUR CHILD

It is clearly quite simple. By working with your child’s coach & supporting his or her efforts, you will create a better learning opportunity and a more enjoyable environment, as well as make the job of the coach much easier. That in turn gives your child and his or her teammates a better chance to have a positive experience.

The following are some ideas for how parents can help ensure that the coach, parent and player can have the best possible sports experience.

Baseball and softball are games of failure -

Baseball and softball are games of failure -

If you played in pro sports - baseball or softball
This abot it - you get out 7 out of 10 at bats for 10 years and strike out half of those times - what are you - a potential HALL OF FAME PLAYERS

So with our little league players and softball players - we need to keep things in perspective - if we want our children to be successful all we can ask of them it to try their very best!

kids sports, youth sports, positive parenting, effort, energy, enthusiasm, sports, practice

the success of a coach is not based on wins and losses

Remember, the success of a coach is not based on wins and losses.  It is based on how he or she stresses the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, skill, integrity & respect.

It is sometimes hard to remember this when we are in the middle of a game against our rivals, however in the end... The players will not rememebr the wins or losses they will rememeber the feeling they had playing for you, their coach.

Things are black and white for our kids...

Winter Break Basketball

The importance of attending basketball training during the basketball season

Often times we put our child into a sport and don;t really allow them the chance to learn how to play or more abot the ruls of the game before tha are thrown out on the field and asked to "compete".

I have found that by helping kids to learn the fundamentals fo the game and the rules they feel much more confident and enjoy the experience significanty.
