Success vs winning

for our kids it is tough at times where every child gets a pat on the back for just showing up - so how do we define winning and give them the sence of drive and accomplishment not just  - here because youa re a nice kid...

I suggest you don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should have accomplished with your ability. And do the same for our childnen

okay - sound harsh - well...

Potentail really means they have not done anything yet - lets push our children into becoming the most amazing people that "THEY" can become. help them to realize that they are amazing and they can do more. 

Success to me is the peace of mind of knowing that I did my very best -

So... for my kids I want them to understand that settling for "okay" is not good enough - I do every effort to applaud effort and hustle and drive equal to the result and yet often times the result is not in their hands.

all children are incredible - lets ask of them to do more, be more and make their life even more amazing... Lastly lets celebrate their successes along the way. After all it is the journey that is what makes it all worth while.
