HELP YOUR COACH HELP YOUR CHILD
It is clearly quite simple. By working with your child’s coach & supporting his or her efforts, you will create a better learning opportunity and a more enjoyable environment, as well as make the job of the coach much easier. That in turn gives your child and his or her teammates a better chance to have a positive experience.
The following are some ideas for how parents can help ensure that the coach, parent and player can have the best possible sports experience.
1. Get to know your child's coach
2. Listen to what they are teaching and reinforce those terms and concepts at home.
3. If you are going to coach from the side lines - remain positive and not so loud that you are louder than the coach
4. Remind your child to say thanks to the coach after every practice and game
By you, the parent showing total respct for the coach, the child will have a roe model that they can follow.
